Our mission is to participate in rebuilding Christendom, utilizing new media to disseminate the truth about Catholic history, tradition and virtues.

Our content

Our content will focus on Catholic history, specifically on Christendom (410 a.d. – 1517 a.d.), and the modern movements within Catholicism that undermine the possibility of rebuilding Christendom (feminism, liturgical abuses, the sexual abuse crisis, etc.). This will be accomplished through video series, podcasts, articles and social media.

BRENDAN LANE, Founder & President¬† Brendan’s passion for utilizing new media to teach Church history was the impetus for the creation of Catholic Initiative. As a 2nd Class Petty Officer in the U.S Navy, a deployment to Japan in the aftermath of the 2011 tsunami proved life changing; the death and destruction he witnessed led to his reversion to Catholicism. He realized that Catholicism was, contrary to popular belief, perfectly aligned with reason and historical facts. After the Navy he studied Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, simultaneously with his M.B.A., under some of the most brilliant modern theologians: Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. Mark Miravalle and others. After teaching high school Church History, he founded Catholic Initiative in 2018 and dedicated it to Our Lady of Walsingham. Brendan lives with his wife Theresa, the Vice President of Catholic Initiative, in Virginia.

THERESA LANE,¬† Vice President & Director, Communications¬† A convert to the Catholic faith, Theresa worked in campaign politics and government for a decade, rising from intern to a gubernatorial campaign to an appointee in the George W. Bush Presidential Administration. This background proved immensely important in her conversion, in two distinct ways: it detached her faith and loyalty in a political party and replaced it to it’s proper place–the the Catholic Faith, and made her determined to disseminate the truth about the destructive feminist movement. Theresa sings opera, speaks some Italian and is married to Brendan, the President of Catholic Initiative.
